Muhammad Raza, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine, pulmonology, and critical care medicine physician at Arizona Chest & Sleep Medicine in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Raza completed his undergraduate education and internal medicine and general surgery internship at Allam Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, between 1984 and 1991. He then fulfilled an internal medicine residency at the Sharif Hospital in Lahore before moving to New York City to complete an observership in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in the Bronx, New York.
Dr. Raza relocated to Phoenix to complete an internal medicine residency at Maricopa Medical Center, where he became board-certified in internal medicine in August 2001. Dr. Raza continued his education as the internal medicine attending doctor in the cardiology department at Maricopa Medical Center from July 2001 to June 2003. He also completed a fellowship in pulmonary medicine and critical care that led to board certification in pulmonary medicine in November 2005.
In addition to his extensive education, Dr. Raza authored several research papers and publications for the American College of Physicians and served as co-investigator for multiple clinical trials.
